I've been so excited to post the e session of Catherine and Matt.  They are, without a doubt, some of the sweetest people I've met.  Besides just having a ball together, we got to shoot in the peak of the spring bloom and scope out one of the oddest properties I've ever seen near me.  I have driven past this property all my life and wondered about it.  Apparently, the original owner had built a playground and pool for his children in the front yard back in the 20s.  With permission of the owner, Catherine, Matt, and I explored the setting and got some fun images there.  The current owners are working on restoring the property, I can't wait to see what they do with it!

I've been breaking out some of my film cameras more often as of late.  Since going digital, I have this awful habit of shooting some film on occasion then never doing anything with it.  So, I've been making a good effort to keep some film into the mix in recent shoots.  Cooper was such a good subject!  Pardon the dust spots on these, I seem to be better about ditching dust while printing, not scanning.

I met Alyson + Shane at the Italian Market in South Philadelphia on a beautiful spring day.  The totally put their trust in me to pick out a location for their shoot and I think we all loved the character and characters we encountered that afternoon.  Alyson + Shane have been together for quite some time and are so completely at ease with each other and so natural at wrapping up in each other - love it!  Here are some of my favorites!

Upon googling myself today (oh, you know you do it too!), I found that I placed in the top 20 for 2008 Best of Engagements by Modern Photographers!  I entered some images and didn't think anything of it until now!  Guess I'm a little out of the loop on the contests.  There is some inspiring imagery up there, and I'm honored to be part of the group.  Here is the winning image... none other than Sam + Pete!  You can see the rest of their e session here.

So, I'm gathering up things to blog about and realize that I've never posted more than one image from Amy + Josh's engagement session!  I swear I'm not giving them the shaft, I heart their images!  I loved them so much, the album design mock-up from it went to the head of the classroom in my consults!  So, I really didn't forget about you!  But here is some now for the world to see!
