I had the pleasure of attending a networking event a few weeks back at a brand spankin' new venue in Philadelphia - The Chestnut Club at Arcadia Theatre. This venue is perfect for couples looking for a hip place for a cocktail reception or small seated reception in downtown Philadelphia.
A little about the history, from the website "The Arcadia Theatre opened April 24, 1915 as a first run movie theatre with the movie "The High Road" and prices of 15c for matinee and 25c for evening shows."
"Today you will find the upper portion of the former auditorium, now a second floor, still retains the ornate decor including the upper portion of the proscenium arch and a ceiling dome."
Check out their website and their blog to see some images and view more information. I can't wait to shoot a wedding there!

A couple weeks ago, I had the chance to photography a wonderful birthday party at The Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. The wonderful staff there team up with the fabulous talents of Evantine Design to create a very chic affair. Just wanted to share some of the beautiful details I caputred!
I'll be back at the Loews later in June for Amy + Josh's wedding!

I've been breaking out some of my film cameras more often as of late. Since going digital, I have this awful habit of shooting some film on occasion then never doing anything with it. So, I've been making a good effort to keep some film into the mix in recent shoots. Cooper was such a good subject! Pardon the dust spots on these, I seem to be better about ditching dust while printing, not scanning.

And a fun little triptych of Alyson and Shane's session!

I met Alyson + Shane at the Italian Market in South Philadelphia on a beautiful spring day. The totally put their trust in me to pick out a location for their shoot and I think we all loved the character and characters we encountered that afternoon. Alyson + Shane have been together for quite some time and are so completely at ease with each other and so natural at wrapping up in each other - love it! Here are some of my favorites!

I've taken forever to hang these images from Sandy and Allen's shoot at Eastern State Penitentiary. I printed these images on Fine Art paper - very much like a watercolor paper, and framed them without glass so you can really see the paper quality. The printing is so yummy! Anyway, here is the wall collection from the shoot. It's looks so much better hanging than propped up against the wall. Don't mind the awful lighting, they look so much better in person, but you get the idea though :)
